Rock climbing in Nepal is one of the most popular adventure sports in which the participants will climb the rocks at the natural formation or the artificial rocks walls.
It has found increasing popularity among the tourists coming into Nepal as well as for local enthusiasts.The goal is to reach the summit of a formation or the endpoint of a pre-defined route. Rock climbing is a physically and mentally demanding sport, one that often tests a climber's strength, endurance, agility, and balance along with his or her mental control.

Nagarjun Rock Climbing is one of the popular and closet Climbing Site of Kathmandu valley. It is located 3km in the northwest of Kathmandu valley in Nagarjun Forest Reserve. From you can continue to sacred Buddhist site Langlungten, Padmasambhava (Guru Rinpoche in Tibetan) took his meditation there. Beside, you will see good view of the Annapurna, Langtang, Machhapuchare, Manaslu and Ganesh Himal, Kathmandu valley.

Detailed Itinerary

  • 08:00 AM: Departure from the hotel
    Today after having breakfast we will come to pick up from your hotel and drive towards Nagarjun.

  • 08:30 AM: Arrival at the bottom of the Nagarjun hill in Kathmandu and about 45 minutes walk till the rock climbing point.
    After half an hour drive towards Nagarjung. After that you will take a 45 minutes walk towards the rock climbing point.

  • 10:00 AM: Information on rock climbing.
    You will get information on rock climbing for 30 minutes.

  • 10:30 AM: Rock climbing starts
    Finally you will start doing rock climbing for about 2 hours.

  • 12:30 PM: Lunch break.
    After fantastic rock climbing, you will have a luch and take a rest for sometime, Also you can do some sightseeing.

  • 02:30 PM: Departure for the hotel.
    Now, you will drive back to your hotel.

Arrival Point

You will be met at the Kathmandu international airport. Our office representative will be waiting for you at the airport and drop you to the hotel.

USD, AUD, EURO are major acceptable currencies in Nepal and visa and credit cards also accepted. There is ATM facility in city area.

Drinking Water

We can get mineral water and boiled water in city area and in some touristy places. We use water purification tablet or liquid in some remote touristy sites.

Visa

You can get arrival visa at Kathmandu airport that cost 25 USD for 15 days and 40 USD for 30 days. Please bring 2 passport size photos. You can get your visa from the closest Nepali embassy

View of Mount Everest

For tourists visiting other regions where they cannot view Mount Everest, there are daily mountain flights which approach close to Mount Everest.

Travel Insurance
