Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 1 Drive from Kathmandu (1400 M) to Surkhet (875 M).
    Today you will drive from Kathmandu to Surkhet, with the views of different topography, flora, and fauna. We drive through the edge of the Trishuli river and reach to the terai region of Nepal and pass Chitwan, Butwal, Dang to reach Kohalpur, then leave the east-west highway to reach Surkhet. overnight at Surkhet.
  • Day 2 Drive from Surkhet to Kalikot (2034 M).
    Today we will drive from Surkhet to Kalikot. Here you will drive through a dense forest of Salha subtropical vegetation, green valleys, and several cultural villages. It will take almost a day to reach Manama Kalikot. Rest overnight at Kalikot.
  • Day 3 Drive from Kalikot to Rara Lake (2990 M) via Sinja Valley.
    Today we will drive from Kalikot to Rara Lake via Manama. After 20 min drive from Manama, we have to drive through paved road and drive through the edge of the Karnali river for 4 hours. When you will reach Talca airport, after crossing the airport we will reach a small village where we have to park our vehicle and walk for 30 minutes to reach Rara Lake. Stay overnight at Rara.
  • Day 4 Full-day excursion in Rara Lake.
    Today you will explore Rara Lake. Here you can go for the boating and visit around Rara national park. You can hike to the ridge where you can get the best view of Rara Lake and around. Overnight at Rara.
  • Day 5 Drive back to Kalikot.
    Today we will drive back to Manama Kalikot and visit the village in the evening and overnight at Kalikot.
  • Day 6 Drive back to Kathmandu.
    Today we will drive back to Kathmandu.
