Manakamana temple lies 140km south from Kathmandu city at Gorkha and on a prominent ridge overlooking the river valleys of Trisuli (south) and Marshyandi (west). It dramatizes the unique location of the place during winter when the ridge appears as the island above the sea of morning mist.

The temple of Manakamana lies 140 km to the west of Kathmandu. Traveling on a vehicle from Kathmandu to Kurintar which is 258m (846ft) high above sea level, we take 10-15 minutes of ride on Cable Car from Kurintar to Manakamana Temple, to an altitude of (1302m/4271ft), of Goddess Manakamana who Hindus believe to have the power to fulfill wishes.

This trip is very famous for the Hindu religion followers. You can enjoy the beauty of nature and enlighten yourself with knowledge, culture, and religion of Nepal. This is a perfect trip for exploring nature, culture and unusual landscapes of Nepal. You can also have a wonderful view of distant mountain peaks, namely Manalsu, Annapurna Mountains and Himalchuli.

Detailed Itinerary

Early in the morning, we leave for Kurintar, after reaching Kurintar in around 3 to 4 hours we will get on Cable Car and head directly towards Manakamana Temple. Enjoying spectacular views we will reach Manakamana Temple, full of religious treasure and beauty. We darshan Manakamana temple and enjoy the view and return to Kurintar in Cable Car and to Kathmandu in the vehicle.
Early in the morning at 6:00 am, we will come to your hotel to pick up you. We will begin our drive towards Kurintar for about 3 hours by Hi-ace/Jeep. After reaching Kurintar, we will use Cable Car to reach the Manakamana temple. You can do puja and tour around the Manakamana temple. You can enjoy the beautiful mesmerizing scenarios from the top of the hill. Then you will come down to the road by Cable car again and then we will drive you back to Kathmandu and drop you to your hotel.
